LPAC: Friday Reminders (7/14/17)

REMINDERS FOR SATURDAY
  • Our last dual meet of the season is at home against Oaktree. LPAC swimmers need to check in by 6:30 am. If your child is ill, please call or text Coach Scott: 408-613-5126.
  • Meet entries and volunteer assignments have been posted to the Oaktree page of the website.
  • Bring your checkbook to the meet and pay for the following events all at once: Banquet, Swim-a-Thon, Beach Trip (HS only), and Spaghetti Dinner (13-18 only)
  • PLEASE stay to help out at the end of the meet. We really need everyone to pitch in so we can get the pool ready for members by 2:00 pm. While your kids cheer for the coaches’ relay and wait for final scores, please help move back lounge chairs, put away kitchen equipment, and pick up garbage. If everyone helps just a little, the work goes by very fast!
  • If you have to leave the meet early, always check out with the coaches first.
  • Remember, Banquet Meal Order Forms are due no later than Monday. Swimmers eat for free, but we still need you to fill out a form so we know how many meals to order.
  • Please see Judy Seps at the meet if you’d like to contribute to gifts for the coaches.
  • High schoolers and parents who are going on the Beach Trip should be back at the pool by 4:30 pm on Saturday. The cost is $10 per swimmer (no charge for adults).

OVERNIGHTER STUFF
  • While you’re at the meet tomorrow, be sure to check the Lost & Found area for anything that might have been left behind during the Overnighter!
  • An Oster griddle and some kitchen bowls were left behind that morning. Please see Aimee King in the kitchen if they belong to you.
  • One swimmer lost a red Book of Mormon flashlight; please return to the coaches if found.
  • Photo Booth pictures have been posted to the Overnighter page of the website.

LPAC: Weekly Update (7/10/17)

Dear Penguins and Parents:

Whew, that was a close one! LPAC ended up defeating Silver Creek on Saturday by a final score of 115.5 to 113.9, so we’re 4-0 heading into our last dual meet of the season. This Saturday we’ll be swimming at home against Oaktree—who are also undefeated so far. Keep coming to practice every day so we can swim our best against the Sharks! And thanks to everyone who made the annual Overnighter a fun night for all!

WILL YOU BE HERE FOR THE MEET?

This week the coaches have to do entries for both the Oaktree meet (7/15) and Champs (7/22). If your child will have to miss any part of either meet, please send email ASAP to both the coaches and the volunteer coordinators. Remember that Champs is an all-day meet that typically lasts until around 4:00 pm.

The families we know who will be missing the Oaktree meet are: Adam, Aliamus, DeSantis, Espinoza, Hasse, Hoge, Marley, and Musoll-Buendia.

The families we know who will be missing Champs are: Adam, Espinoza, Fumagalli, Hasse, Marley, Musoll-Buendia, Wise.

UPCOMING EVENTS

LPAC: Friday reminders (7/7/17)

We’ve got a lot going on in the next couple of weeks, so this will be a little longer than our usual Friday reminder email…

TOMORROW’S MEET: AT SILVER CREEK
  • Swimmers need to check in with the coaches by 7:20 am. If your child is ill in the morning, please call or text Coach Scott: 408-613-5126.

  • Remember, there is not much space at Silver Creek, so please plan to share EZ-Ups and get cozy with your penguin neighbors!
  • We will be swimming 8 lanes, which means the meet goes by a lot faster. Be sure your swimmers are paying attention to the announcements and get to Clerk of the Course on time. And remember to always check OUT with the coaches if you leave the meet early!
