RSVP for the BANQUET! July 19
We need to know how many swimmers are coming to the banquet. RSVP even if you are not eating please. We need more help with Setup for the Banquet, please volunteer in the RSVP below.
Swimmers eat free but must complete the 2026 Banquet RSVP to reserve a meal. Additional meals cost $20 each. You MUST order all meals by July 15th. Orders will not be accepted at the door.
Has your LPAC swimmer outgrown their gear?
If you have team suits, practice suits, and/or LPAC gear that no longer work for your family, please donate to our “LPAC Trade Bin” to be passed on to the next swimmer.
All gear must be clean and in good condition.
Bring your gently used items to our banquet on July 19 and drop in the bin near the gate labeled “LPAC Trade Bin”.

Dear Penguin Family,
LPAC Penguins swam amazingly on Saturday ar Silver Creek. It was a really close meet. It came down to only a 4.7 points difference. But LPAC was victorious once again! Woohoo… with a score of 116.4-111.7. We squeaked out another win. Keep up the great swimming and we have a chance of coming out on top at Champs.
One of our Penguins broke all three of his own records from last year. He is absolutely amazing. So glad he his on our team. Caleb G. beat his records in back, breast and free! Also, our 7/8 medley relay team, including Mateo L., Rocky N., Lewin X. & Caleb G., broke the record originally set in 2006. Our 7/8 grpup is definitely one to watch in the future. Great job Penguins!
Thank you to all of the families that donated to our Goodwill Donation Drive fundraiser. It was really great to see you all out and about on a Sunday morning. We appreciate all you do for the team!
This is our final week of the season. Make sure your swimmer(s) come to practice every day as we prepare for Champs!!!

CHAMPS: SATURDAY, JULY 19, 2025
- This year, EZ Ups will not be put out the night before Champs, so there is no need to bring them to Spirit Night. Families will bring EZ Ups the morning of Champs and look for LPAC’s designated Spot. There will be maps at Spirit Night and in the Friday newsletter.
- If your swimmer will have to miss all or part of Champs, please send an email to coaches@swimlpac.org and volunteers@swimlpac.org TODAY! It is important to let our Coaches and Volunteer Coordinators know ASAP if your swimmer will be missing any part of Champs..
- The swimmers that we already know will be missing all or part of Champs are: Wesley H. Declan G., Rowan G., Serena P., Olivia S., Tyler P., Tyson P., Grant G., Gwen G., & Cailyn F.
- If your swimmers name is not listed above and you will be missing all or part of Champs, it is imperative that we need to know NOW!

SPIRIT WEEK JULY 13-17
Spirit Week is the last week of the Season heading to Champs. The Coaches and Swimmers use this as a fun way of getting pumped for Champs. Have your swimmers come a little early to practice in fun spirit week garbs so that coaches can get a picture of the swimmers wearing their costumes before they jump in and get wet. LPAC MERCHANDISE DESIGN CONTEST
LPAC is throwing a contest for the swimmers to design a t-shirt and a sticker to add to next year’s LPAC merchandise line. All of the details are linked here!
SPIRIT NIGHT: THURSDAY JULY 16
Spirit Night is on July 16, 2026 from 6:30 to 9 pm. All information on the Spirit Night page of the website. Dinner will be served to swimmers. Parents will be receiving final details on Champs and voting on new LPAC Governing Board Members. We will conclude the night with a slideshow, celebrating the season and energizing the team to do their best at Champs! It is important that everyone that can make it, come to Spirit Night.
There is no need to bring EZ Ups to Spirit night this year. We will not be transporting them to Champs the night before like in previous years. Get to Champs early if you want room to put your EZ Up up. There will be only so much room allocated for LPAC families.

HIGH SCHOOL SPAGHETTI DINNER: July 17 SIGN UP NOW
The night before Champs, all High School aged swimmers are invited to “carbo-load” with their teammates at the LPAC Spaghetti Dinner. Families of High School age Penguins are asked to Sign up by 7/13 to provide part of the dinner & help make the Spaghetti dinner a success.

BEACH TRIP: SATURDAY, JULY 11
The LPAC Beach-and-bonfire trip is at Twin Lakes State Beach in Santa Cruz. HS age Penguins and volunteers need to meet at the Los Paseos Clubhouse at 4:15 pm to leave from there together.Have fun with all of your fellow High School age Penguins! LPAC GOODWILL DONATION DRIVE: JULY 12
LPAC is hosting a Goodwill Donation Drive Fundraiser, and we’d love your support! Instead of tossing out items you no longer need, donate them to help raise money for our swimmers.

Dear Penguin Nation,
We had an amazing meet against Almaden Saturday. Wonderful swimming all around. LPAC came out victorious with a score of 111.3 (LPAC) to 84.5 (Almaden). LPAC is now 3 Wins and 1 Loss in Dual meets. Go Penguins!
Congrats to our own record breaker, Jacob Mendez. He broke his own 50 Butterfly time. So proud of him. We look forward to what he accomplishes at Champs.
The Overnighter and Cardboard Regatta on Saturday night were an absolute blast! We hope your Penguins came home eager to share stories of cardboard engineering triumphs, epic races, and late-night adventures. If your Penguin is currently in the “answer every question with a shrug” phase of life, don’t worry—we can confirm they had a fantastic time. For details beyond “it was fine,” feel free to ask a board member or coach. We have plenty of stories and may even know who managed to stay awake the latest or the entire night!
Thanks to Huy for planning and working so hard to make the cardboard boat races so amazing this year. The 2026 Cardboard Regatta Results are in the email newsletter.

PRACTICES THIS WEEK
- Regular Practice times Monday through Friday.
- Wednesday is our Annual Splash & Dash: Make sure your swimmer is early to their practice time and ready to swim. Swimmers only get their regular scheduled practice times to swim as many laps as they can.
- Saturday is Independence Day: No meet, Enjoy your 4th with family and friends. Have fun on the Raft Trip.

PENGUIN POOL PARTY: JUNE 30
All LPAC swimmers are invited to come enjoy a fun pool party with their penguin pals. We’ll also have Root Beer Floats and make tie-dye shirts to show our penguin pride!
Details:
- Date: June 30, 2026
- Time: 3:00pm -5:00pm, Check in by 4:00 to do tie dye!
- Cost to enter pool:
- No charge for Association members
- Non-members: $5 per person Cash or Venmo accepted (children under age 2 are free) paid at gate.
- Shirts: Bring your own plain white shirt to tie dye or pick up the Penguin shirt that you ordered during the party.
- Root Beer Floats: These delicious treats are on us for all swimmers! We know parents and siblings love ice cream too (we don’t blame you), but we’re only able to provide floats for swimmers this year. Thanks for understanding and helping us keep the event affordable and fun for everyone.
- Parents of swimmers 12 and under, please plan to stay during this event. This is not a drop off event.
See you at the pool—we can’t wait to celebrate with our favorite Penguins!
SPLASH & DASH: JULY 1, 2026
Our Annual Splash & Dash is this Wednesday! All proceeds directly benefit LPAC and help fund important equipment updates and improvements, including:
- A new starter battery
- A new digital or analog pace clock for practices
- TimeDrops, the new league-wide timing system (annual cost)
- A new—or gently loved—deep freezer for the kitchen with a lid that actually works!
- We need new microphones for our Announcer’s sound system.
We appreciate your support in helping us raise funds for these important needs. Plus, there are lots of fun prizes for swimmers who participate and collect donations!
Additional Splash & Dash Pledge Sheets are available in the Splash & Dash folder located in the back of the family folder boxes.
If you signed up to volunteer please check the Penguin Lap Counter sign up sheet. Find the time you signed up to help. If you can not make it on Wednesday please contact Kelly Fumagalli at (408)821-1080 right away so she can find a replacement.
Lap goals will be given to swimmers by coaches the day of the Splash & Dash. Raffle tickets will be given out when your swimmer reaches their goal lap. Each 5-10 laps over their goal lap they will receive another raffle ticket. This years raffle will be for the biggest, Penguiniest basket ever!
If you can not make it om Wednesday morning, we will be holding a Splash & Dash at Tuesday night’s practice. So that everyone has a chance to Splash & Dash.
Prize Reminder: All swimmers need to turn in at least one pledge by July 8th in order to be in the running to get a prize. Splash & Dash prizes will be distributed during Spirit Night. Thank you for supporting LPAC and helping make the 2026 Splash & Dash a success!
RAFT TRIP: JULY 4, 2026
For those of you going on the Raft Trip, please fill out a SEPERATE WAIVER FORM for each person who will be rafting and turn in forms to the “RAFT TRIP” folder ASAP. Or remember to bring all of your families waiver forms with you. Looking forward to seeing everyone up in Oakdale!

If you have not donated to our End of Season Coaches Gifts yet and would like to, Saturday July 11th is your last day to do so. CHAMPS INFORMATION
This year we will not be pre ordering our lunch like we have done in the past years. So far there have been 5 food trucks and 2 ice cream trucks scheduled for Champs @ Leigh High School on July 18.
Plan on bringing your own food for the whole day. There is not any fast food restaurants nearby Leigh High School and there will most likely be long lines at the food trucks. If you do choose to stand in line please be aware of your swimmer’s races and the time needed to get them to the clerk of the course so they do not miss a race.
