Can you believe that we are almost down to the end of the season? It has gone by so fast. We have enjoyed getting to know all of our Penguin families.

If you have interest in being an LPAC Board member. We have a few openings, please reach out to the info@swimlpac.org and cc: volunteers@swimlpac.org email byTuesday July 14 at 6 pm to have your name placed on the ballot.

With only 9 days before Champs there are going to be a lot of things going on and there will be a lot of important information in these emails. Please read through to find all the Penguin happenings.

Please help maintain the safety of practices by signing up to open and close the gate during transition periods between practices here. To understand our decision to lock the gate during practices please refer to the email from LPAC on 6/24.

LPAC @ SILVER CREEK: SATURDAY, JULY 11

  • Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026
  • Location: Silver Creek Valley Country Club 
  • Park at:Silver Oak Elementary5000 Farnsworth DrSan Jose CA 95138                                                                                            Time: LPAC swimmers and volunteers need to check in between 7:15 am & 7:30.
  • The meet starts at 8 30 am .
  • If your child is sick, please text both the Coaches and Volunteer Coordinators as soon as possible.

  • No unloading or parking in the Country Club Parking lot. Please be considerate of the surrounding neighbors and do not block any driveways.

  • Meet Entries are posted here and will be posted on boards at the pool during the meet.

END OF SEASON GIFTS FOR COACHES

The last time you will be able to contribute to the Coaches Gifts is on July 11th. Keep an eye out for Judy Seps, the LPAC photographer. She will be collecting contributions for coaches gifts at the Silver Creek meet. 
Contributions can be made by:

  • Cash/Check made out to Judy Seps
  • Venmo; @judyseps (last four digits of her phone number are 3532)

BEACH TRIP: SATURDAY, JULY 11

The LPAC Beach-and-bonfire trip is at Twin Lakes State Beach in Santa Cruz. HS age Penguins and volunteers need to meet at the Los Paseos Clubhouse at 4:15 pm to leave from there together.Have fun with all of your fellow High School age Penguins! Check out the Beach Trip page on the website for more information.

LPAC GOODWILL DONATION DRIVE: JULY 12

LPAC is hosting a Goodwill Donation Drive Fundraiser, and we’d love your support! Instead of tossing out items you no longer need, donate them to help raise money for our swimmers.

Look at the flyer to see what they are collecting and what not to bring. 

If you’ve been meaning to clean out your closets or garage, now is the perfect time!

SPIRIT WEEK JULY 13-17

Spirit Week is the last week of the Season heading to Champs. The Coaches and Swimmers use this as a fun way of getting pumped for Champs. Have your swimmers come a little early to practice in fun spirit week garbs so that coaches can get a picture of the swimmers wearing their costumes before they jump in and get wet. Spirit Week 2026 Flyer.

PENGUIN T-SHIRT & STICKER DESIGN CONTEST  

LPAC is throwing a contest for the swimmers to design a t-shirt and a sticker to add to next year’s LPAC merchandise line. All of the details are linked here!

END OF SEASON BANQUET: RSVP by Wed., July 15

The End of Season Banquet is our chance to celebrate the swimmers, the coaches, the families, the sponsors and especially the age-outs. For one last time, we’ll all get together to have dinner, pass out trophies, say goodbye to our age-out swimmers, and celebrate another great season.  Details on the Banquet page of the website. 

Swimmers eat free but must complete the 2026 Banquet RSVP to reserve a meal.Additional meals cost $20 each. You MUST order all meals by July 15th.  Orders will not be accepted at the door.

SPIRIT NIGHT: THURSDAY JULY 16

Spirit Night is on July 16, 2026 from 6:30 to 9 pm. All information on the Spirit Nightpage of the website. Dinner will be served to swimmers. Parents will be receiving final details on Champs and voting on new LPAC Governing Board Members. We will conclude the night  with a slideshow, celebrating the season and energizing the team to do their best at Champs! It is important that everyone that can make it, come to Spirit Night.

HIGH SCHOOL SPAGHETTI DINNER: July 17 SIGN UP NOW

The night before Champs, all High School aged swimmers are invited to “carbo-load” with their teammates at the LPAC Spaghetti Dinner. Families of High School age Penguins are asked to Sign up by 7/13 to provide part of the dinner & help make the Spaghetti dinner a success.
