Overnighter Saturday, June 22-23!

The annual Overnighter is one of LPAC’s most treasured traditions and a highlight of every swim team season. LPAC swimmers get to camp out in tents on the grass next to the Los Paseos pool and stay up late swimming, dancing, playing dodge ball, and just having fun with their friends. LPAC Board members and their spouses stay the night and take shifts to be sure children are supervised at all times. Look up Overnighter details here!

LPAC Wins over Almaden Gators ~ 131.8 to 114.0

It was a great effort as the LPAC team members showed improved times 77% of the time. All of these improvement points actually add to our overall score and helped us solidify the win. We want to keep that going, so be sure to take the time and come to morning practice. We know it can be a challenge sometimes for the teenagers to rise and shine for their 6:45 AM practice, but keep in mind, practice will makes us all stronger and yes even faster.

This weeks Swim Meet is at home on Saturday (6/15) against the Montevideo Piranhas If your child will have to miss all or part of the meet, please send email to coaches@swimlpac.org and volunteers@swimlpac.org by today at the latest. The volunteer coordinators need to know if parents will be gone as well so they can fill in with other penguin volunteers. Current list of expected absent swimmers include:  Ethan Hadfield, Roxie Pombo, Everett Leung-Thomas, and Marcus Fumagalli.

  Night practice is available for swimmers who miss morning practice due to summer school or work commitments. Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 9:00 PM  Swimmers must have coaches’ prior permission to attend night practices.
  ***Swimmers ages 12 and up have 30 minutes of dry-land exercises immediately following their regular practice times on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Bring running shoes on dry-land days.***
