LPAC: Friday Reminders (6/9/23)
Dear Penguins and Parents:
Here are some quick reminders before our meet against the Montevideo Pirhanas tomorrow.
MONTEVIDEO @ LPAC: SATURDAY, JUNE 10
- Date: Saturday, June 10, 2023
- Meet starts at 8:00 am
- Location: Los Paseos Pool
- Time: LPAC swimmers need to check in with coaches no later than 6:40am.
- Parents must check in with Volunteer Coordinators by 6:40 am.

- Meet entries and volunteer assignments have been posted to the Montevideo @ LPAC page on the website.
OAKTREE @ LPAC: SATURDAY, JUNE 17
- If your swimmer will have to miss all or part of the next meet on June 17, please send email NOW to coaches@swimlpac.org and volunteers@swimlpac.org.
MORNING PRACTICES BEGIN: MONDAY, JUNE 12
Age range practice groups are listed below.
- High School: 6:45–7:45/8:15 am*
- 12-14: 7:45–8:45/9:15 am*
- 9-11: 8:45–9:30 am
- 8 & under: 9:30–10:15 am
*Swimmers ages 12 and up have 30 minutes of dryland exercises immediately following their regular practice times on three mornings a week, days MWTh. Please bring running shoes on those days.
EVENING PRACTICES: JUNE 12 – 16
- Swimmers still in school: 8:00 – 9:00 pm
*For swimmers who are still in school, as we move to morning practices, we will have evening practices Monday – Friday, from June 12 to June 16.
PENGUIN POOL PARTY: JUNE 14
All LPAC swimmers are invited to come enjoy a fun Penguin Pool Party with their penguin pals. We’ll also have root beer floats and make tie-dye shirts to show our penguin pride!
- Date: Wednesday, June 14, 2023
- Time: 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm; Must check in by 4:30 pm at the latest to do tie-dye!
- Cost:
- No charge for Association members
- Non-members: $1/child, $2/adult
- Swimmers will be provided with a Penguin shirt to tie-dye.
- Please complete the attached form to indicate the preferred t-shirt size for your Penguin(s): Penguin Tie Dye T-Shirt Form 2023
- We have a limited supply of each size, so arrive early for best chance to get your preferred size (first come/first served).
- T-shirts are free for LPAC swimmers only…donations of any amount are appreciated (but not required) to help offset costs of this fun event!
- T-shirts for parents or non-LPAC swimmers will be available for purchase beginning at 4:30 for $10 each, while supplies last.
- Feel free to bring your own t-shirt to dye at no cost.
- Parents of swimmers 12 and under, please plan to stay during this event

Dear Penguins and Parents:
Great effort at the meet last Saturday. The Alamaden Gators defeated the Penguins with a score of 131.6 to 115. We will get them next time!

MIDDLE SCHOOL AGE GROUP POTLUCK
Come join your Penguin friends for a Nacho potluck party after practice.

In addition to all our annual team events, we occasionally have fun outings/events for specific age groups. If you are interested in hosting an event, please send an email to info@swimlpac.org. We can’t make age group events happen without parent support!

SWIM-A-THON: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28
Our annual Swim-A-Thon is just around the corner! LPAC swimmers, here’s your chance to help raise funds for the team while challenging yourself and getting a great workout. Collect pledges and then swim as many laps as you can to support LPAC and win prizes too! Only swimmers who turn in their pledges will be eligible for prizes, so download your pledge sheet now and visit the Swim-A-Thon page on our website for more information.
RAFT TRIP: SATURDAY, JULY 1, 2023
There are only two more weeks till the registration deadline of June 17. Make sure to reserve your spot now! See the Raft Trip page of the website for more information and registration details. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Here are some quick reminders before our first dual meet against the Almaden Gators tomorrow.
LPAC @ ALMADEN: SATURDAY, JUNE 3
- Pool opens at 6:30 am for setup.
- Check in Time: 7:15 am.
- Swimmers must check in with coaches by 7:15 am.
- Parents must check in with Volunteer Coordinators by 7:15 am.
- If your child is sick, please call or text:

- Meet starts at 8:15 am.
- Please do NOT park in the lot unless you are an AGCC member
- No pets
- Space is VERY limited, so please plan to squeeze in tight and share your EZ Ups!
- Snack Bar: The snack bar is run by the AGCC Country Club and is pricey. It might be a good idea to bring your own drinks, snacks, and food items.

ABOUT LPAC
Los Paseos Aquatic Club (LPAC) is a non-profit organization that has served the Los Paseos community for over 50 years.
As a family-oriented summer swim team, LPAC provides children in the Los Paseos neighborhood the opportunity to participate in competitive swimming in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment. Team members range in age from 5 to 18 years old.
LPAC is a member of the Valley Cabana Swim League and swims against other cabana teams in San Jose and Los Gatos.
