Memorial Day Clinic Today!

Memorial Day Swim Clinic

There are no regular team practices on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30th), but swimmers are invited to attend an optional Swim Clinic this morning from 9:00 to 10:30 am. The coaches will be working with small groups of kids on diving from the blocks, backstroke starts, pulldowns, and all types of turns. Swimmers who want to work on any of these skills are welcome to attend. Swimmers do not need to stay the whole time; they are welcome to drop in at any time and leave whenever they’d like.

Time Trial Make-Ups on May 31st

If your swimmers missed Time Trials on Saturday, it is mandatory they come to Make-Up Day on Tuesday, May 31st at 6:00 pm. Parents are expected to stay and volunteer as timers and recorders during Make-Up Day. Please arrive on time! Please note there will be no regular night practices on Tuesday, May 31st.

Practice Times Change Wednesday, June 1st

After Memorial Day, the pool is open to its members until 6:00 pm. This means that we have to compress our swim practices until school gets out on June 3rd. Please note the change in practice times, starting this Wednesday, June 1st. A previous email went out that listed the change in practice times differently, but this week’s practice times will proceed as follows.:

• 4-8 : 6:00–6:45 pm
• 9-11: 6:45-7:30 pm
• 12-14: 7:30-8:15 pm
• High School: 8:15-9:00 pm

Next Meet: Belwood @ LPAC on June 4th

Will you be at the next meet on Saturday?

Our first dual meet of the season is at home against the Belwood Dolphins on Saturday, June 4th. If you are going to miss all or any part of the meet, please send an email NOW to coaches@swimlpac.org and volunteers@swimlpac.org.

Pick up your suits today or tomorrow!

Good news! Swim suits have arrived!  Suits will be available for pick up today 5/27 at all practices and tomorrow 5/28 at time trials.  If you have not yet paid please bring a check to fill out, we will not be able to take a credit card in person.

Time Trials is Tomorrow, May 28th!

Time Trials is on Saturday, May 28th!

Just some quick reminders before Time Trials tomorrow:

• Swimmers and parents need to check in before 7:15 am. Please be on time!
• If your child is sick, please call or text Coach Scott’s cell phone: 408-613-5126.
• Meet entries and volunteer assignments have been posted to the Time Trials page on the website.
• If you are new to the team, you might want to check out the Swim Meet Survival Tips article on the website for some helpful advice about what to bring, what to wear, etc.

• We also need each family to pick a meet to help with clean up. Please choose from one of the following dates and sign up, when you check in for your shift at Time Trials: June 4, June 25, July 11, and July 17.

COVID-19 Policy

Our governing board has decided to follow the COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Instructions issued by the California Department of Public Health. We have added a COVID-19 Protocol Page to the website.

• Please keep your swimmers home if they have symptoms or if they test positive for COVID-19.
• Following a positive COVID-19 test, please keep your swimmer isolated for 5 days, as per the CDHP guidelines.
• Siblings of those who test positive may attend practice if they do not have symptoms and have a negative COVID-19 test.
