Dear Penguins,
Thanks so much to everyone that attended and helped make Penguin Madness a success. We will be counting the proceeds from Penny Wars this week. Thank you to all of our swimmers that participated in Penny wars. Our Game Night was a huge success on Saturday night. Thank you for coming and bringing games to share.
MEMORIAL DAY SWIM CLINIC: THIS MORNING MONDAY, MAY 25
There are no regular team practices on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25), but swimmers are invited to attend an optional Swim Clinic this morning The coaches will be working with small groups of kids on diving from the blocks, backstroke starts, pulldowns, and all types of turns. Swimmers who want to work on any of these skills are welcome to attend. Swimmers do not need to stay the whole time; they are welcome to drop in at any time and leave whenever they’d like.
TIMES OF CLINICS
- Ages 10 and under Cliinic: 9 -9:45 am
- Ages 11 and up Clinic: 9:45-10:30 am
SWIMSUIT DELIVERY
New LPAC swimsuits that were purchased through Agonswim.com before 5/1/26 will be delivered to families next Thursday 5/28 and Friday 5/29 between 6 and 8 pm at the pool. If you can not pick up your suit during that time there will be a table under the gazebo near the breakfast burrito area before Time Trials from 7-8 am.
We are hoping that the LPAC merchandise gets delivered before Friday. If Lynette gets the LPAC merchandise she will hand it out at the same time as the suits. We will keep you updated.

TIME TRIALS: SATURDAY, MAY 30
Time Trials will be this Saturday, May 30. All swimmers and parents should check in between 7:00 and 7:10 am. Coach Julia will have a brief meeting for new swimmers and their parents starting at 7:40 am by the kiddie pool. The meet will start at 8:00 am and should be done around 1:00 pm.
If you are new to the team, you might want to check out the Swim Meet Survival Tips article on the website for some helpful advice about what to bring, what to wear, etc.If your child will not be able to attend Time Trials, you need to let the coaches and volunteer coordinators know ASAP if you have not done so already. Please send email to coaches@swimlpac.org (or text Coach Julia (408) 334-0657) and volunteers@swimlpac.org (or text Amelia (408) 529-5783 or Melissa (415) 589-9903). Any swimmers who do not attend Time Trials must come to the make-up day on Monday, June 1, Check in 5:00- 5:15 pm.
So far, we know that the following families will be missing part of Time Trials: Grant G., Dylan D., Missing all of time trials: Anahita C., Sarina S. Sofia S., Quynh N. Hieu N., Max P., Zack P., Rey P, Taylor I., Kalila N., Aiden D., Harper L., Jose C, Diego C., Nico C.
Volunteer List for Time Trials has been updated. Please review and let us know if you won’t be able to make it. Remember to check the Volunteer List in next Friday’s newsletter, there will probably be updates to the list published today.. If you can’t make it last minute, please TEXT Amelia (408) 529-5783 or Melissa (415) 589-9903.. Send us your name and the position and shift you won’t be able to do. Do not call! They may not hear the ring in all the business that is the first meet oof the season. Thank you!
The list for Family Clean Up shifts for the 2026 season has been created. Please contact Amelia or Melissa if you are not able to stay after the meet on the day you are assigned @ volunteers@swimlpac.org ASAP.
TIME TRIALS MAKE-UP DAY: MONDAY, JUNE 1
Swimmers who cannot attend Time Trials on Saturday must come to Make-Up Day on Monday, June 1. Parents are expected to stay and volunteer as timers and recorders during Make-Up Day. Please arrive on time! Please note there will be no regular night practices on Monday June 1..
- Check in between 5- 5:15pm
- Warmups 5:30
- Time Trial makeups start 5:45pm
- Ending time will depend on how many swimmers are making up time trials.
