LPAC: Weekly Updates 06/15/26

Dear Penguin Posse,

Great swimming on Saturday! LPAC came out on top with a score of 134.5(LPAC) to 101.4(Montevideo). Keep on swimming your very best. Keep coming to practices. Every small improvement helps our score. So proud of all of our swimmers. Go Penguins!

Reminder parents need to be supervising swimmers in the bathrooms during and after practices. Coaches can not be in two places at once and they are needed poolside. Coaches have noticed swimmers like to scream and play around in the bathrooms. We do not want any trouble with the LPHOA board.

The LPAC Board still needs someone to help us put on the yearly Penguin Pool Party, tie dye party. If you would be interested in helping us to put this event on please email info@swimlpac.org.

Montevideo@LPAC meet results can be found here.

LPAC: Exciting Changes to Meets

Dear Penguins,

Happy time trials eve!

Below is information on how to use our new timing system!

With the new timing system, the pool deck will be set up a little differently.  Clerk of the course will be behind the coaches table on the restroom side of the pool.  The announcer and computer team will also swap positions.  We can no longer have people walking by the left diving block corner of pool.  That will be roped off.

Time Drops:

  • We will be using Time Drops wireless timing system this year for our home meets. You might remember this from the Belwood meet last year. In addition to other features, this system includes the Time Drops Live app where you can receive live updates from the meet including swimmer’s times and alerts about upcoming events.
  • To use for tomorrow’s meet, download the app ahead of time:

            iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/time-drops-live/id1499170694

           Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jnstahl.   swimmeetlive&hl=en_US&pli=1

  • On the morning of the meet, you will be able to search for our meet by entering ‘LPAC‘ in the search bar. You will get you the four digit code at the pool on the morning of each home meet!
  • Each meet will have a different four digit code.
  • The Time Trials meet will not be available in Time Drops Live! until tomorrow morning.Searching for ‘LPAC’ today will just show a few test meets. You can click the star next to any one of those meets to have all LPAC meets listed under the ‘Favorite Teams’ button. This will make it easier to find future home meets.
  • Times will automatically generate and sort into the meet manager software.

FOR TIME TRIALS: SATURDAY, MAY 30:

  • Arrive and check in at the coaches table between 7 & 7:15 am.
  • If your child is sick, please call or text  Coach Julia  408-334-0657
  • Meet Entries  have been posted
  • The Volunteer Coordinators have been working tirelessly today to work things out for all of the positions. So check your Volunteer Assignments before you get to the pool tomorrow morning.
    • If you can’t make it last minute, please text Amelia (408)529-5783 or Melissa (415)589-9903. Send us your name and the position and shift you won’t be able to do. Thank you!.
    • Don’t forget our last ALS month Fundraiser! We are raffling off an LPAC sweatshirt, only time this season, for $1 a raffle ticket you could be wear a Coach Julia Original LPAC sweatshirt!
