Dear Penguins and Parents,
Unfortunately, the sizing kit for swimsuit try ons did not arrive on time. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, we are postponing the sizing event until Monday, May 1st.
TEAM SUIT SIZING EVENT:

DEADLINE EXTENDED: If you would like to order a team suit, use the 2023 LPAC Team Suit Order Form. Orders must be placed by May 1, 2023 to have your suit in time for the first swim meet. Swimmers who choose not to purchase a team swim suit must have a solid black suit to use for team picture day and meets. New for this season is the return of the “Bling” Logo. The LPAC Penguin logo can embellished with rhinestones on selected shirts and hoodies for an additional cost. Please use the 2023 LPAC Merchandise Form to place your order by May 7th.
For new swimmer families, we recommend placing an order while you await the tryout results and we can cancel it if needed. Please plan to pay by check only, which will be returned if needed after tryouts.

Swim season is almost here! Just a few quick notes and reminders:
TEAM SUITS:
If you would like to order a new team suit this season, use the 2023 LPAC Team Suit Order Form. The form includes a sizing guide for ordering. Orders must be placed by April 30, 2023 to have your suit in time for the first swim meet. We do NOT have a sizing kit for swimmers to try on suits.
If you have any questions about team suits, please contact Judy Seps at judyseps@yahoo.com. Swimmers who choose not to purchase a team swim suit must have a solid black suit to use for team picture day and meets. If you already have a team suit from last year (and it still fits!), you do not need to purchase a new suit.

VOLUNTEER JOBS:
All returning families need to fill out the Volunteer Jobs Form. If you have not filled it out yet, please do so now.
NEW FAMILY MEETING on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 7:00 pm: Prospective Penguin Families are required to have at least one parent attend this meeting. The meeting generally lasts about one hour. Kids are welcome but not expected to attend. Returning families are not required to attend.
Practices start May 1st with age group times as follows:
- 8 & under: 5:30-6:15 pm
- 9-11: 6:15-7:00 pm
- 12-14: 7:00-8:00 pm
- High school: 8:00-9:00 pm

New Family Registration
Thank you for your interest in Joining LPAC! Los Paseos Aquatic Club (LPAC) is a family-oriented summer swim team. We provide children in the Los Paseos community the opportunity to participate in competitive swimming in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment. Team members range in age from 5 to 18 years old.
The LPAC swim team is limited to 150 swimmers, and we typically have only a few openings each year. Follow the steps below to register your swimmer(s). Each part of the process is time sensitive.
STEP 1: Complete New Family Registration Forms
New Family Registration Forms* and Payment must be submitted no later than March 25th to:

*You must submit a printed hard copy of your registration forms. No digital forms will be accepted. Your payment will not be applied until your swimmer(s) makes the team. If we are unable to offer your swimmer(s) a spot on the team, your registration fees will be refunded to you.
STEP 2: Reserve a Swimmer Slot on March 25th at 8:00 AM
All new families must sign up for Open Online Registration, which is held through SignUp Genius. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You might want to register as close as possible to 8:00 AM to improve your chances of getting on the team. Swimmer slots fill up fast! For more information, see Registration. The SignUp Genius link is active only on March 25, 2023 from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM

- We will email the results from the New Family registration to you by April 5, 2023.
- The New Family Meeting will be held on April 20, 2023 at the Los Paseos Clubhouse.
- New Swimmer Tryouts will begin on April 24, 2023.
- Highest registration priority is given to members of the Los Paseos Association.
- Next priority is given to those families who live within the LPA boundaries (south of Bernal/west of 101/east of the golf course).
- Families who are not part of the Los Paseos neighborhood but live within a 5-mile radius of the pool are also eligible to join the team, if there are openings.
- If we are unable to offer your swimmer(s) a spot on the LPAC swim team, your registration fees will be refunded to you.
