Here are some quick reminders before our meet against Montevideo tomorrow. There is lots of information in this email including how to join our Parent Relay, Penguin Night at Chick FIl-A, Middle School Penguin Activity, Picture Day, Last Days to sign up for the Raft trip, RSVP for Overnighter and Info about Splash & Dash. Please read through the email.
Morning Practices started this week. There has been a great turnout. Please remember to keep coming on time, ready to swim. If your swimmer can’t make morning practices for some reason email coaches@swimlpac.org to ask if they can attend T, Th night practice from 8-9 pm.
Parents please help supervise your swimmers in the bathrooms after practices. Coaches have noticed swimmers like to play around in the bathrooms. We do not want any trouble with the LPHOA board.
The LPAC Board is asking for someone to help us put on the yearly Penguin Pool Party, tie dye party. If you would be interested in helping us to put this event on please email info@swimlpac.org.
MONTEVIDEO @ LPAC: JUNE 13, 2026

- Time: LPAC swimmers need to check in between 6:30-6:45 am
- The meet starts promptly at 8:00 am and generally ends around 1:30pm.
- If your child is sick, please text both the Coaches and Volunteer Coordinators as soon as possible.

PARENT RELAY TEAM INFO
Many of our opponents enjoy ending the meet with a parent or family relay, and we’d love to continue this fun tradition. If you’re interested in participating, please email info@swimlpac.org. Jennie Anderson will reach out to confirm your availability and eligibility to swim during the meet.
The Parent Relay is always a crowd favorite, and your Penguin family will be cheering you on from the deck—especially your little Penguin! There’s nothing quite like seeing Mom or Dad jump in the pool and race for the team.
We hope you’ll join the fun!

PICTURE DAY: NEXT WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17
Check out the Picture Day page on the website for details on how to order extra pictures. There is a flyer on our website with the QR code and website address to order advance credits to pay for extra pictures (buddy pictures, more pictures). You will receive one 4×6 individual photo, an 8×10 team photo and a 3×5 photo button with your registration payment.

RAFT TRIP: LAST DAY TO SIGN UP JUNE 20
Sign-up directions for this beloved LPAC tradition can be found on the Raft Trip page of our website. Please be sure to complete the required waiver form for the rafting company. All Penguins and family members who plan to attend must be registered and paid in full by June 20. We look forward to another fun and memorable day on the river with our Penguin families!
OVERNIGHTER: JUNE 27, 2026
The annual Overnighter is one of LPAC’s most treasured traditions and a highlight of every swim team season. LPAC swimmers get to camp out in tents on the grass next to the Los Paseos pool and stay up late swimming, dancing, playing dodge ball, and just having fun with their friends. SPLASH & DASH: JULY 1, 2026
It is just about that time of year again. Time to start getting all of those pledges for the 2026 Splash & Dash! All proceeds benefit LPAC and help pay for things like equipment updates, such as a new starter battery, a new Digital or Analog Pace Clock for practices, Time drops(a new league wide timer system), which we will pay yearly, and the kitchen needs a new or slightly loved deep freezer with a lid that actually works.. Please help us to raise money for these causes this year. There are lots of fun prizes involved too.
- Please go to the Splash & Dash page and sign up to volunteer to be a Penguin Lap Counter for the morning of the Splash & Dash Wednesday, July 1. Volunteer for the practice of your swimmer(s) or for all morning.
- Check your family folder on Monday, 6/15, for a Splash & Dash Pledge Sheet for your swimmer. If you have multiple swimmers you may want to print out extra Pledge Sheets.
- Prizes for Splash & Dash will be distributed during Spirit Night to the swimmers that bring in donations.
