Dear Penguins and Parents:
We hope you all had fun at Penguin Madness! Week 3 of practice begins today.
FUNDRAISERS:
Swim 5 Miles to Help Fight Cancer!
This year LPAC swimmers have the chance to participate in two fundraisers.
#1 is our annual LPAC Swim-a-Thon, which will be held on June 18. All proceeds benefit LPAC and help pay for things like our new lane lines and backstroke flags. There are lots of fun prizes involved too; stay tuned for more details coming in June.
#2 is the Swim 5 Miles in May Challenge to benefit the American Cancer Society. All LPAC swimmers are invited to participate—and the coaches will be swimming too! Starting today, coaches will tell swimmers how many miles they swam at the end of each day’s practice. Swimmers can keep track of their progress to see if they get to 5 miles in the month of May. (Hint: If they come to practice regularly, they will!) Our team goal is to raise $1,000 for this challenge. If you would like to participate, please share the link with friends and family so they can support your swimming while donating to help fight cancer: https://www.justgiving.com/team/lpac2024
