Dear Penguins and Parents:
Here are some quick reminders before our meet against Belwood tomorrow. Please be sure to read the whole email for important information about Champs Volunteer Sign Ups and the remainder of the season.
LPAC @ BELWOOD: SATURDAY, JULY 8
- Location: Belwood Pool and Cabana Club, 100 Belwood Gateway, Los Gatos, California 95032
- Time: LPAC swimmers need to check in with coaches no later than 7:15 am.
- Parents must check in with Volunteer Coordinators by 7:15 am.
- Gates open 6:30 AM for setup. The following restrictions apply:
- EZ-Ups ok, no tarps or tents with floors allowed
- No use of kiddie pool
- Bocce ball area is closed and off limits
- No playing / loitering in the restrooms
- Please pick-up your trash after the meet
- No Pets allowed at the Belwood facility
- Belwood food booth will be open with breakfast, lunch, and snack items

CHAMPS, SATURDAY, JULY 15: VOLUNTEER SIGN UPS!
Champs is coming up quickly and we need every family to contribute. We cannot do it without you! Every Family needs to sign up for ONE volunteer shift at Champs July 15, 2023. Please click the link and add your name to ONE orange box. Thank you.
2023 CHAMPS VOLUNTEER SIGN UPSSWIMATHON PLEDGE SHEETS: DUE TODAY, JULY 7
Swim-a-thon pledge sheets and payments are due by Today, July 7, 2023. Please put the pledge sheets and money in the Swim-a-thon folder in the family files.
- Prizes will ONLY be awarded to swimmers who raise funds for the Swim-a-Thon!
BEACH TRIP: SATURDAY, JULY 8
All swimmers in the high school age practice group are invited to attend the traditional Beach Trip to Twin Lakes State Beach in Santa Cruz.

BANQUET REGISTRATION DEADLINE: SUNDAY, JULY 9
If you plan on enjoying tacos at the Banquet, you MUST Register for your meals before Sunday, July 9, 2023! Don’t miss out!! All swimmer meals are included in your registration fees, but you still MUST register to receive a meal.

SPIRIT WEEK!: MONDAY, JULY 10 – FRIDAY, JULY 14
For the last week of practices before Champs, we’ll be having fun dress-up days and snacks. Come every day and join in on the fun!
- Crazy Hair Monday: Show us how crazy your hair can be!
- Tie-dye Tuesday: Dress in your favorite tie-dye outfit.
- Wacky Wednesday: Dress weird and wacky.
- Thuper Hero Thursday: Dress like your favorite super hero!
- Black & White Friday: Dress like a penguin and wear black and white.
SPAGHETTI DINNER: FRIDAY, JULY 14
The night before Champs, all High School aged swimmers, who have completed their Freshman year of High School or older, are invited to “carbo-load” with their teammates at the LPAC Spaghetti Dinner. We also decorate cars to show our penguin pride. All families are invited to bring their cars to the church parking lot, closest to the pool parking lot at 6:30pm, to have their cars decorated.

- Volunteers: We need parents to set up, bring food or drinks, serve, and/or help with clean-up.
FUNDRAISING: RAISE MONEY WITH KEYPOINT CREDIT UNION
To learn more about our wonderful Fundraising event with KeyPoint Credit Union with the potential to earn LPAC $1,500, please go to our Fundraising page. After your swimmer has completed the KeyPoint Credit Union financial wellness worksheet, at least one parent must accompany their swimmer (if under 18) into KeyPoint Credit Union, 7030 Santa Teresa Blvd. Suite 10, to turn in the form.
LPAC BOARD ELECTIONS: JULY 13, 2023
2024 LPAC Board elections will be held during Spirit Night.
Please consider adding your name to the ballot and join our LPAC board. The governing board hires coaches, and plans and executes our events and traditions. Please consider volunteering. If interested please email your name, to be printed on the ballot, to: info@swimlpac.org.
END OF SEASON GIFTS FOR COACHES
Judy Seps is continuing to collect contributions until Spirit Night on July 13th. You may contribute with cash, check, or Venmo @judyseps (last four digits of her phone number are 3532). All funds will be pooled together to purchase gift cards. We will present the gift cards and Thank You cards to each coach at the LPAC banquet.
LOST AND FOUND: CLAIM YOUR ITEMS BY JULY 10, 2023
We have accumulated many items in the LPAC Lost and Found. Lost and Found items will be brought out daily for you to dig through. Anything not collected by July 10 will be donated. Please see the pictures below to see the current items in Lost and Found.
