Dear Penguins Big and Small,
Awesome swimming on Saturday! LPAC triumphed over Oaktree with a score of 108(Oaktree) to 118(LPAC). Way to go LPAC! Let’s keep up this momentum. We are now 2 wins 1 loss in our Dual Meets.
Thank you to everyone for participating in our special LPAC Sweatshirt Raffle. We made a total of $245 from Saturday’s raffle. The two winners for the LPAC sweatshirt were Aiden D. and Parker H. Parker’s family are going to share the sweatshirt.

Julia is busy making a sweatshirt for Aiden.. As soon as we get pictures of Aiden I will upload them.
We want to thank LPAC as a team for helping us with all of the fundraisers for ALS. It is an important cause. Between the two raffle’s, ALS bracelets and the Penny Wars, LPAC has raised a total of $2,514.33 for the ALS Therapy Development Institiute. Thank you for your help in this. As a team, penguins can do anything!

CARDBOARD BOAT RACES: JUNE 28 BEFORE THE OVERNIGHTER
The Penguin Regatta Cardboard Boat Races take place before the Overnighter. Bring your boats to the pool Sportscourt at 5:45pm. All penguins are encouraged to team up with their swim team friends to construct a sea-worthy vessel using only cardboard, duct tape, and paint. Penguins have one week left to construct their Cardboard boats. Instructions for this fun event are on the Cardboard Boat Races page on our website.
Depending on the number of entries, there may be several heats to determine the overall champion. Unofficial prizes will also be awarded for the best boat theme and the most spectacular sink.
Parents are welcome to stay and cheer. Please be prepared to take home the remains of any boats that you bring. There is not enough room in the Los Paseos dumpster for all the soggy shipwrecks!
OVERNIGHTER: ONLY FIVE DAYS AWAY JUNE 28, 2025
The annual Overnighter is one of LPAC’s most treasured traditions and a highlight of every swim team season. LPAC swimmers get to camp out in tents on the grass next to the Los Paseos pool and stay up late swimming, dancing, playing dodge ball, and just having fun with their friends. More information on the Overnighter page.
Register your swimmer(s) NOW: 2025 Overnighter Registration
So far we have 96 Penguins signed up for the Overnighter. If you haven’t signed up your penguin yet please do so ASAP. Your penguin won’t want to miss this.
You must register your swimmer if they are staying the entire night or if they are leaving at 10 pm. You are giving us a headcount to figure out how much food we need.
SPLASH & DASH: JULY 1, 2025
It is just about that time of year again. Time to start getting all of those pledges for the 2025 Splash & Dash! All proceeds benefit LPAC and help pay for things like updating the LPAC container, reimbursement for the new LPAC flag, new flippers for practices, new speakers for Starters and new printer for computer team to use at meets.
- Please go to the Splash & Dash page and sign up to volunteer to be a Penguin Lap Counter for the morning of the Splash & Dash Tuesday, July 1. Volunteer for the practice of your swimmer or swimmers or for all morning. We are still missing 1 and 1 alternate Penguin Lap Counter’s for the 8-10 age group. If you can stay for your swimmer’s practice time please sign up to help.
- Check your family folder for a Splash & Dash Pledge Sheet for your swimmer. If you have multiple swimmers you may want to print out extra Pledge Sheets. There are a few extra Splash & Dash Pledge Sheets in the Splash & Dash folder at the back of the family file folders.
- Prizes for Swim-A-Thon will be distributed during Spirit Night to the swimmers that bring in donations

2025 LPAC COMMUNITY BOOK
Help your fellow penguin families get to know you and your swimmer(s)! Add your family picture to the 2025 LPAC Community Book, add your swimmer’s names and ages along with some fun family facts to a slide. This is a fun way to get to know all of the families on the team. A volunteer parent photographer will also be available at the swim meets to take quick pictures for you.
