LPAC: Weekly Update 4/28/25 Practice starts today!

Dear Penguins and Parents:Welcome back! Regular team evening practices start today. Please join us for some munchies and drinks on the pool deck on Friday, May 2, as we kick off the season. We can’t wait to see you all at the pool!

PRACTICES:

Practices start April 28th with age group times as follows:

  • 7 & under: 5:30-6:15 pm
  • 8-10: 6:15-7:00 pm
  • 11-14: 7:00-8:00 pm
  • High school: 8:00-9:00 pm
     
  • New Practice Age Groups in 2025.
    Please arrive on time and ready to swim! Make sure that your swimmer shows up at the right time

IMPORTANT RULES OF THE POOL

The Los Paseos Home Owner’s Association Board has asked for our assistance in maintaining their rules during swim meets and practices. Safety is of course everyone’s top concern. We also need to to be respectful of the HOA property. Parents and siblings are welcome to stay during swim practices, but we do ask that you please follow these guidelines:

  • Children should not be at the pool without adult supervision; the coaches need to focus on the swimmers in the water.
  • Kids should not be playing on the pool deck during practices at all. They are welcome to play on the grass but should not play in the horseshoe pits or around the storage shed area. No one is allowed in the Pickleball courts (Sportcourt area) unless already arranged with the Home Owners Association.
  • Parents, please do not move furniture or adjust umbrellas during practices, and be sure to straighten up the area when you leave.

Swimsuit try-ons are happening this week!

  • Date: Wednesday, April 30, 2025
  • Time: 5:00-8:00pm
  • Location: Los Paseos Pool

Second swimsuit try-on event is on Thursday, May 1.

  • Date: Thursday, May 1, 2025
  • Time: 5:00-8:00pm
  • Location: Los Paseos Pool

Please remember to have your swimmer try on a swimsuit before they get in the pool for practice. It is much easier to try on suits when swimmers are not already wet!

Once you know what size your swimmer needs, please use the order link below to place your order! Place orders by May 4, 2025 to receive shipment by our first meet.  May the 4th be with you!

All LPAC members are encouraged to purchase team swim suits, but it is not required. Swimmers who choose not to purchase a team swim suit must have a solid black suit to use for team picture day and meets.

PENGUIN MADNESS IS COMING UP!

Most of the year, we’re all one big happy penguin family. But at Penguin Madness, swimmers from all age groups are grouped into different penguin teams that compete in fun non-swimming events like tug-of-war and musical chairs to see who has the most penguin power. Sign your swimmer up by Monday, May 6th!
