Friendly Reminder
We are guests of the Los Paseos HOA. We ask that our parents ensure that all our Penguins set a good example for our visiting swimmers by treating the grass area, play equipment, sand pit, and the entire HOA campus with respect.

Morning Practices Begin on June 6th
Morning Practies Start Monday
Since school is out for most of our swimmers, we’re moving to morning practices starting Monday (June 6th). Practice times are as follows:
- High School: 6:45–7:45/8:15 am*
- 12-14: 7:45–8:45/9:15 am*
- 9-11: 8:45–9:30 am
- 8 & under: 9:30–10:15 am
*Swimmers ages 12 and up have 30 minutes of dryland exercises immediately following their regular practice times on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Please bring running shoes on those days.
Night Practices for June 6th-9th Only
If your swimmer is still in school for the week of June 6th, we will be offering night practices for one week only, Monday through Thursday (6/6-6/9), from 8:00-9:00pm for all ages.

Memorial Day Clinic Today!
Memorial Day Swim Clinic
There are no regular team practices on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30th), but swimmers are invited to attend an optional Swim Clinic this morning from 9:00 to 10:30 am. The coaches will be working with small groups of kids on diving from the blocks, backstroke starts, pulldowns, and all types of turns. Swimmers who want to work on any of these skills are welcome to attend. Swimmers do not need to stay the whole time; they are welcome to drop in at any time and leave whenever they’d like.

Time Trial Make-Ups on May 31st
If your swimmers missed Time Trials on Saturday, it is mandatory they come to Make-Up Day on Tuesday, May 31st at 6:00 pm. Parents are expected to stay and volunteer as timers and recorders during Make-Up Day. Please arrive on time! Please note there will be no regular night practices on Tuesday, May 31st.
Practice Times Change Wednesday, June 1st
After Memorial Day, the pool is open to its members until 6:00 pm. This means that we have to compress our swim practices until school gets out on June 3rd. Please note the change in practice times, starting this Wednesday, June 1st. A previous email went out that listed the change in practice times differently, but this week’s practice times will proceed as follows.:
- 4-8 : 6:00–6:45 pm
- 9-11: 6:45-7:30 pm
- 12-14: 7:30-8:15 pm
- High School: 8:15-9:00 pm

Good news! Swim suits have arrived! Suits will be available for pick up today 5/27 at all practices and tomorrow 5/28 at time trials. If you have not yet paid please bring a check to fill out, we will not be able to take a credit card in person.

COVID-19 Policy
Our governing board has decided to follow the COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Instructions issued by the California Department of Public Health. We have added a COVID-19 Protocol Page to the website.
- Please keep your swimmers home if they have symptoms or if they test positive for COVID-19.
- Following a positive COVID-19 test, please keep your swimmer isolated for 5 days, as per the CDHP guidelines.
- Siblings of those who test positive may attend practice if they do not have symptoms and have a negative COVID-19 test.

Week 3 Starts Today!
Important Message From Coach Scott
It is very important to come to practice this week, leading up to Time Trials. We will be spending a lot of time on meet preparation and getting our swimmers ready to race on Saturday. Please come to practice on time and ready to swim! Go Penguins!
Time Trials is on May 28th!
Time Trials is on Saturday, May 28th!
Time Trials will be this Saturday, May 28th. Swimmers and parents should check in no later than 7:15 am. Coach Scott will have a brief meeting for new swimmers and their parents starting at 7:40 am. The meet should be done around 1:00 pm.
If you are new to the team, you might want to check out the Swim Meet Survival Tips article on the website for some helpful advice about what to bring, what to wear, etc.
If your child will not be able to attend Time Trials, you need to let the coaches and volunteer coordinators know ASAP if you have not done so already. Please send an email to coaches@swimlpac.org and volunteers@swimlpac.org. Any swimmers who do not attend Time Trials must come to the make-up day on Tuesday, May 31st at 6:00 pm.
