LPAC: Weekly Updates 06/22/26

Dear Penguins Big and Small,

LPAC swam ferociously on Saturday!  We gave it our all in a very close meet against Belwood. In the end, Belwood edged ahead with a score of 118.3 to 112.6, a difference of just 5.7 points. While the result didn’t go our way, there is plenty to be proud of. Every race, every point, and every personal effort contributed to an exciting and competitive meet. Keep focusing on your swimming, celebrating your improvements, and supporting your teammates. We’re within striking distance and can come back even stronger next week. Keep working hard, keep racing fast, and be proud of the times you achieved.

Go Penguins!

LPAC hopes that all of our wonderful swim dad’s had a fantastic Father’s Day yesterday celebrating with family and friends.

LPAC: Exciting Changes to Meets

Dear Penguins,

Happy time trials eve!

Below is information on how to use our new timing system!

With the new timing system, the pool deck will be set up a little differently.  Clerk of the course will be behind the coaches table on the restroom side of the pool.  The announcer and computer team will also swap positions.  We can no longer have people walking by the left diving block corner of pool.  That will be roped off.

Time Drops:

  • We will be using Time Drops wireless timing system this year for our home meets. You might remember this from the Belwood meet last year. In addition to other features, this system includes the Time Drops Live app where you can receive live updates from the meet including swimmer’s times and alerts about upcoming events.
  • To use for tomorrow’s meet, download the app ahead of time:

            iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/time-drops-live/id1499170694

           Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jnstahl.   swimmeetlive&hl=en_US&pli=1

  • On the morning of the meet, you will be able to search for our meet by entering ‘LPAC‘ in the search bar. You will get you the four digit code at the pool on the morning of each home meet!
  • Each meet will have a different four digit code.
  • The Time Trials meet will not be available in Time Drops Live! until tomorrow morning.Searching for ‘LPAC’ today will just show a few test meets. You can click the star next to any one of those meets to have all LPAC meets listed under the ‘Favorite Teams’ button. This will make it easier to find future home meets.
  • Times will automatically generate and sort into the meet manager software.
